We hope this finds you well and enjoying the change in the seasons. It's a bit grim facing up to the shorter days but - we've got to admit - we love this time of year. We played a fantastic gig over the Grow! Cook! Eat! Festival at West Dean College and it was a real celebration of all that Autumn has to offer. Our stage was even adorned with fresh produce - including the biggest onions we've ever seen!!
That's not the only good gig we've had either! Doing support for Seth Lakeman at The Electric Palace in Bridport was a really amazing experience. It's one of the biggest gigs we've played and needless to say - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! You never quite know how you're going to be received as a support act - but the crowd was fantastic and we came away with some great feedback too.
In other news - we were delighted to be invited by Dorset Artsreach a month or so back to take part in their 'South Dorset Ridgeway' project. It's a venture which, over the next few years, will link the landscape, archaeology and art in various forms - and we've been commissioned to write four songs, inspired by the archaeological finds and sights which are scattered through this beautiful 'Land of Bone and Stone'. We've just finished the first of them - and we really can't wait to play it for you!
This Autumn, we've also done our first two house concerts. This is something new to us - but we' ve really enjoyed them. They were both totally unique and wonderful evenings! If you want to find out a little more - take a look at our contacts page.
Tickets have just gone on sale for our show at Sixpenny Handley Village Hall in December. Last time we were there, we had a fantastic night. You can find more details on the gigs page and we'd definitely advise booking early for this, as it was a packed hall when we visited last.
Anyway - hopefully we'll see you out and about soon!
