We're supporting Kate Rusby!

April 9, 2015

Hi there!

It's been a little while since we've updated our blog. We've been on a bit of a break - but we're back and raring to go with a jam-packed spring and summer!

Most massive news...?!
Mega, mega, mega exciting!! We're going to be supporting Kate Rusby at Sidmouth Folk Festival! Yup. We're not even kidding! We'll be opening the pre-festival Thursday night concert on the 30th July in the 1100 seater Ham Marque. All rather surreal if we're honest. We sang our first songs together in a singaround in the beer garden of The Swan at the 2012 festival - so three years later to be opening for Kate Rusby on the main stage really is a dream come true. We can't wait!

That's not all!
As you can see from the list of shows down the right - we've got a lot of other exciting dates too, including supporting another great folk act, Fisherman's Friends, in a few weeks time in Salisbury. Then it's on to our May Tour, which is going to be an absolute blast - working our way from Fishguard to Reading, via Chippenham, Seaford and Weymouth.

Album news?

Yup! That's right - we've kitted out a brand new lair...uh...we mean...studio(!) at Ninebarrow-Towers and we've started laying down some of the ground work for 'Album 2'! We've also got a tentative title and had some chats about possible artwork. VERY exciting stuff indeed! Don't expect it any time soon, though. Sorry! We're going to give ourselves a full year to get it done, so you can expect it in spring 2016.

Lighthouse, Poole
If you managed to get to our last show at Lighthouse, Poole - you'll know it was a real cracker. It's a fantastic venue - and we're really chuffed to say that there are only 5 tickets left until we can officially say it's our second sell-out show there in a row. If you want to get your hands on the final five...we'd suggest doing so pretty sharpish!

Home, Lads, Home
Last, but not least - we had a really great Sunday afternoon and evening last week filming and recording in St Peter's Church in Parkstone with the wonderful Louise Jordan. We're almost ready to share what we've been doing but - until then - here's a taster. Just click the image to view a little behind the scenes clip! :)

Well - that's about it from us! Hope to catch you out and about at some point over the coming months!

Take care,

Jon and Jay
