We hope this blogpost finds you well and that you're enjoying a music-filled summer! It's been a great few weeks for us! We celebrated taking the music full-time in style, supporting Show of Hands at their annual festival, headlining our first concert at Sidmouth Folk Week and playing at Cambridge Folk Festival for the first time to a really packed Club Tent:
They were all really fantastic experiences - and if you 'liked' or 'followed' us after any of those festivals, a particularly warm welcome to you!
And if all of that wasn't exciting enough, we also got our first airplay on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show the other week as well! If you want to catch the track, with Mark giving a few of our summer dates a plug, you can listen again here for the next couple of weeks and you'll find us at 42:15.
The week before last we kicked off our August tour with a concert at Lowther Castle in Cumbria before we headed off on our first tour of Scotland! We were pretty excited anyway...but when we saw the castle our jaws hit the floor really!
See what we mean?! What a stunning place! After Cumbria and Scotland, we're in the UK's city of Culture: Hull, before returning to Dorset to end our summer on a real high at Purbeck Valley Folk Festival.
After that - we've got an incredibly busy Autumn - and we're really pleased to announce six brand new dates in the South West as part of a rural tour in association with 'Villages in Action':
And as you can see from the gigs down the right hand side of this email - we're going to be all over the place between now and the end of the year!
We've been slowly working through some of the footage from our midsummer concert in Dorset and we thought we'd share a live version of one of the tracks from 'Releasing the Leaves' - For A Time. We hope you enjoy it!
And finally...new merchandise!
Someone came up to us at the end of a concert the other month and said...'Wow the artwork for all of your CDs is absolutely beautiful [thanks to Jon's sister, Sarah!]. Have you ever thought about having greetings cards made?' Simple answer - no, we hadn't. But we have now, and you can get them via our website! :)
That's all for now folks! Hopefully see you at a concert sometime soon! And don't forget - if you're enjoying our music, please do share word of us with your family and friends using the buttons below. We're so grateful for the support you guys give us. We couldn't do this without you! :)
