We hope this blog finds you well and having a great start to 2016. It's certainly been a good one for us, and we thought it was about time we got in contact to let you know how we're doing and where you can catch us throughout 2016!
Album reviews are coming in already!
As you know - work is now finished on our next album: 'Releasing the Leaves' and it's being released on the 26th March. It's early days yet - but we've already had a couple of really nice reviews we wanted to share with you. We're really pleased - and we can't wait to share more reviews with you as they come in. The even better news is that you can pre-order the album RIGHT NOW. We'll be sending all pre-orders out a week before the actual release date at no extra cost - so now's your chance! Our album launch, which is taking place at Lighthouse Poole, is almost sold-out now too - so if you want to join us for what is shaping up to be a pretty awesome gig (complete with string section and double bass!) you'd better get in fast!
You can read the RTL songbook now!
If you've got a copy of our debut album, you'll know we released a songbook with it. It contained the lyrics and the stories behind the songs, as well some photographs of places around the country which have helped to inspire our music We're doing the same again with this record - and this time you can buy printed copies of this alongside the album. The good news is, we're also making it available for free as a digital download and we wanted people on our mailing list to be the first to see it. Just click the image below and you'll be transported via the interweb to a free digital download! Do let us know what you think!
But we've not only been working on OUR album!
Many of you will know fantastic Devonshire folk singer, Jim Causley. We were absolutely thrilled to be asked to sing harmonies on his album last year. We just happen to have got our hands on a pre-release copy (it's released in February), and it's absolutely beautiful. We thought we'd share this little pic. We're in some jolly good company!
And lastly? House concerts!
As you can see from the map on the top right of this email - we're slowly but surely taking over the country! :D We know there are still areas we've not been able to play in yet. The good news is, if we're not in your area in the near future, you could have us IN YOUR HOME sometime soon! We're always looking to fill dates and a house concert has the potential to be an absolutely magical evening. It doesn't cost the earth, and you don't need to live in a mansion either! We've had some corkers - and if you'd like to find out more, just click the quotes below!
Until then - please do keep spreading the word. We can't do this without YOU!
