We hope this news update finds you well and enjoying the tail-end of summer. It's been an incredibly busy couple of months for us and we've been working on some really exciting stuff!
Album 3 - The Waters and the Wild
We've been spending a lot of time working on the song arrangements for the next album over the last few months. We're working with some really incredible musicians to make that happen - and as many of you already know - Mr Lee Cuff (cellist extraordinaire) has been a key cog in the Ninebarrow 'album machine' since 'While the Blackthorn Burns' was released in 2014. Here's some footage we recorded at one of our recent rehearsals for a special trio concert we've got coming up in Dorset on the 13th October. Take a look! If you fancy coming along, there are still tickets available if you're quick!
Ninebarrow + Contemporary Dance = Exciting! :)
You might be aware that we've been working on a really exciting project this summer, writing and recording an original soundtrack for a contemporary dance production called 'Folklore', which is being produced by the Off the Map Dance Company. It's all inspired by folk tales from Dorset, Devon and Somerset, so it's right up the Ninebarrow street, so to speak! We've got a few more days in the studio to put the finishing touches to it, but we're pretty much there! Three county 'premier' shows are happening really soon at the following venues.
If you're in the area, it'd be well-worth getting tickets and experiencing something 'Ninebarrow'...but a little bit different! Just click the links below for more details.
Exeter Pheonix - 12th September
Dorchester Corn Exchange - 20th September
The David Hall, South Petherton - 6th October
And if you fancy a listen at what we've been concocting - here's a little audio trailer from what we've recorded so far!
New Dates Announced
As ever, we're announcing new dates all the time - so please do check out our gigs page. It'd be great to see you out and about at one of them soon!
Until then - all the best and take care,
